Last week at home....

This is my last week at home and I have to admit, it is kind of bittersweet. I am so excited to be marrying Dudley. I am looking forward to the road God is going to lead us on as we begin our lives together.

With that being said, I am going to miss being at home and around my parents. I have always been one who wants my parents around for everything they can be. Sure I know there were times when I didn't feel this way, but overall it has been my thinking. I have never been embarrassed to have my parents on school trips, or to have them at camp with me. In fact, I have loved having them there! I am very much a mom and a daddy's girl. Maybe it is because I am the baby of the family I don't know. I just know it will be quite an adjustment for me.

Another thing that is on my mind, and was reaffirmed this morning, is how much I will miss not having Mamaw (Grandma Reedy) here this weekend.

This morning in my daily prayer thing from church it said to pray for someone who touched your life. I couldn't pick for just one. I'll admit I didn't pray for everyone that did, but I couldn't narrow it down to one. I had to start at the beginning with my grandparents, especially Mamaw and Grandpa Petersen. I have been blessed to have some of the most Godly examples of grandparents any one could ask for. Mamaw was so involved in working with children and youth, and Grandpa is one of the most Biblical knowledgeable men I know.

My thanks didn't end there (how could it) I am blessed to have two of the most amazing parents! If it weren't for them, not only would I not exist, but I wouldn't be who I am today. I can only hope that Dudley and I can live up their example of a Godly marriage.

Finally, I couldn't finish my thanksgiving without mentioning my siblings. Like any sibling relationship, we had our share of ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade Adam and Renee' for anything. I love looking back and seeing how far we have come from when we were little. I love them both so much and cherish the memories we have (like playing cards on the floor, "Come home, come home, all little cards come home... :) ) and all the memories to come.

I know this blog was long and changed from subject to subject but it is what is on my heart and mind today.
